The original, classic styling chair featuring durable molded urethane arms
- Collins standard hydraulic bases are 4 1/2" diameter foot-treadle operated hydraulic lifts with a 7 1/2" vertical lift and a minimum 350 lbs lifting capacity. The 3 1/2" Slim-Star Bases and the 5 1/2" Heavy Duty Bases have the same vertical lift capabilities and similar rated capacities. All three bases are unconditionally Warranted for 7 1/2 years.
Tubular steel footrests and arm supports are heavy gauge steel, copper-nickel-chrome plated. Molded urethane arms have internal structural steel support and fabricated arm brackets that are powder epoxy coated 1/4" steel. Five leg pedestal bases for shampoo chairs, stools, and the Slim-Star Hydraulic Bases are die-cast aluminum with a polished finish. Collins all-purpose chair reclining mechanisms are custom fabrications with an unconditional five-year warranty.
Contoured seats and backs are 3/4" 7 ply molded hardwood plywood. Straight seats and backs are 3/4" 5 ply plywood. Upholstered rests are solid spruce or pine, or fabricated/machined from same. Seat support assemblies & dryer cabinet assemblies are made from 1/2" plywood panels and 7/8" kiln dried poplar hardwood. Seat foams, typically 2" to 3" thick depending on the chair, are 48 pounds per square inch compression test rated. Back foams, 1" to 2 1/2" thick, depending on the chair, are 42 pounds per square inch compression test rated.
All chairs have a protective plastic lining between the vinyl & foam to prevent internal abrasion of the foam and extend chair life. All Collins chairs are upholstered with expanded vinyls ... supplied by Naugahyde, Gencorp, Morbern, or Spradling ... that are manufactured for commercial applications like salons.
Collins Beauty equipment is carefully manufactured, thoroughly inspected, and guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship as follows:
7 1/2 YEARS: All Foot-Operated Hydraulic bases are guaranteed for seven and one-half years from the date of purchase.
FIVE YEARS: Reclining mechanisms, dryer motors, and dryer hoods are guaranteed for five years from the date of purchase.
ONE YEAR: All remaining components, unless noted otherwise, are guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and all claims must be made through the authorized Collins distributor from whom the equipment was purchased.
This guarantee does not apply to damage caused by water or fire, discoloration, fading, or staining of fabrics, laminates, or finishes, or where there is evidence of tampering, mishandling, abuse or misuse of the equipment.
